In a bid to further raise funds amid the ongoing war, Ukraine has been triggered to launch the sales of an NFT collection based on a timeline of the Russian invasion. It’s been weeks since Russia kicked off its life-threatening invasion of Ukraine. The attack has put the lives of Ukrainian adults and children at stake which has caused the country to seek funds and support for its residents especially the militaries in their fight back against Russia.
It is worthy to note that cryptocurrencies have served as a very effective tool to help the country in its push for crowdfunding amid the unfavorable moments faced with them. With sympathy from foreigners and major global companies, the nation has been receiving donations in cryptocurrencies to help it fund its fight back against Russia.
However, it appears that the idea behind the NFT launch was inspired by the country’s belief that it can survive Russia’s invasion via the use of revolutionary blockchain technology. The minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov unveiled plans for the NFT launch saying:
“While Russia uses tanks to destroy Ukraine, we rely on revolutionary blockchain tech. @Meta_History_UA NFT-Museum is launched. The place to keep the memory of war. And the place to celebrate Ukrainian identity and freedom.”

Meanwhile, the proceeds from the NFT sales will be used to support Ukraine’s army and civilians according to the announcement.
